Unison Software Solutions, a leading provider for procurement solutions to the federal marketplace, is seeking a Consultant.  Unison consultants work directly with clients to understand key elements of client business processes and then work to implement and operate Unison software products and service offerings by performing key tasks.  Consultants thrive on their personal and direct contributions that help our clients achieve substantial benefits from our suite of software products. 

Responsibilities

The Functional Consultant will support the delivery and ongoing operations of PRISM, Unison's flagship Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Acquisition and Grants Management solution used by Federal agencies across the U.S. Government. This role works closely with government users, functional and technical teams, and project leadership to resolve issues, support system enhancements, and ensure successful day-to-day operations.  This role is in person in Springfield, VA, 5 days per week.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Serve as a functional support resource for Government users of the PRISM application
  • Triage, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application support requests through the Help Desk ticketing process
  • Escalate complex issues to technical teams while coordinating timely resolution and communicating status updates to stakeholders
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with Government users and project stakeholders
  • Analyze reported issues, identify root causes, and recommend functional solutions or workarounds
  • Support software configuration management activities, including documenting configuration changes and validating system functionality
  • Participate in system testing, including regression, integration, and user acceptance testing activities
  • Assist with user training, knowledge transfer, and development of training materials and user documentation
  • Generate reports and perform analysis of Help Desk metrics, trends, and recurring issues
  • Collaborate with functional consultants, developers, business analysts, and project managers to support system enhancements and operational improvements
  • Document support activities, resolutions, and best practices to improve service delivery
  • Represent Unison professionally while fostering strong, trusted client relationships

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 1+ years of experience supporting enterprise software applications, ERP systems, or business applications
  • Experience providing software support or Help Desk services in a client-facing environment
  • Experience troubleshooting functional application issues and working with cross-functional teams to resolve problems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting federal government software applications
  • Knowledge of federal acquisition, procurement, or grants management business processes
  • Experience supporting acquisition systems such as PRISM or similar COTS applications
  • Experience with SQL queries for troubleshooting and reporting
  • Experience supporting software implementations or Operations & Maintenance (O&M) environments
  • Experience with testing, configuration management, training, and organizational change management
  • Experience supporting financial system interfaces or enterprise system integrations

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

Clearance Requirements

 

Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance is required. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.

 

Compensation:
Base Salary: $65,000 - $95,000
Final compensation will depend on factors such as geographic location, experience, and qualifications.
